A small box that plugs into your router and stops ads, trackers and dangerous sites on every phone, tablet, TV and game console in the house. Nothing to install on any of them.
Works with the internet you already have. No fans, about a watt of power, updates itself.
How it works
FilterBox answers one question for every device in your home: where is this website? Ads, trackers and known scams get no answer, so they never load. Everything else goes straight through at full speed.
One network cable and a USB power plug. It's ready in about twenty seconds.
On supported routers FilterBox makes the one setting change itself. On others, the dashboard shows you exactly where to click.
Phones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs and consoles, including ones you buy later. Nobody has to install anything.
What it stops
Hundreds of thousands of known ad, tracking and malware addresses, refreshed automatically. Turn each kind on or off from the dashboard.
In apps, on websites and on smart TVs, for every device at once.
Phishing pages and malicious sites are stopped before they load, even on devices with no antivirus.
Streaming apps that refuse to play without their ad servers get just enough through. One switch.
For families
Private by design
Which sites your devices visit is recorded only on the box itself. There's no account and no cloud copy, and nobody, including us, can see it. The dashboard even lists everything the box sends out, word for word. Read the privacy page.
Set it up from any browser on your home Wi-Fi. A PIN keeps the kids out of the settings.
Signed updates install quietly overnight, around 4 AM, when nobody is online.
No fans, no disk to wear out, about a watt of power. It sits in a closet and does its job.
Questions
No. FilterBox never carries your streaming, downloads or video calls. It only answers the tiny "where is this site" question before each connection, usually in under a millisecond. Your devices then talk to the internet directly, at full speed.
It works with any home router. On supported models, including common Verizon Fios routers, FilterBox makes the setting change for you. On the rest, it's one setting, and the dashboard walks you through it.
No. Every device on your Wi-Fi is covered automatically, including new ones.
Open "Something not working?" on the dashboard, pick the device, and tap Allow next to what it needs. Or let everything through for ten minutes to check.
Yes, for iPhone. It shows how things are going from anywhere, lets you pause blocking, and tells you if the box ever goes offline. The full dashboard opens from any browser at home.
